southeastern Brazos County in southeastern Texas...

* until 545 PM CDT

* at 501 PM CDT... a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of
Brenham... moving northeast at 30 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs... siding... and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Brenham... Navasota... Washington... Somerville... Millican... lake
Somerville dam... Independence and Quarry.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
windows.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.
Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember... if you can
hear thunder... you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm... and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

southern Burleson... Washington... western Walker... northern Waller...
Grimes... southeastern Brazos... west central Montgomery and
northwestern Austin counties...

At 501 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. 3 to 6 inches of rain have fallen
with isolated radar estimates of 6 to 8 inches. Flash flooding is
already occurring across part of the warned area. In Brenham County,
Road closures were reported at FM 2935 near new year's creek.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Brenham... Navasota... Hempstead... Prairie View... Washington... Shelby... Pine
Island... Burton... Anderson... Todd Mission... Richards... Plantersville...
Carlos and Roans Prairie.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area as thunderstorms continue to move across the area.

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

* until 745 PM CDT

* at 448 PM CDT... Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Over
three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is
expected to begin shortly as slow-moving thunderstorms push across
the area. This will impact the evening commute for motorists along
Interstate 45, and drivers are urged to check weather and Road
conditions before attempting travel this evening.

Conroe... Tomball... Willis... Pinehurst... The Woodlands... Spring...
Kingwood... Oak Ridge North... Panorama Village... Shenandoah... Splendora...

rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the
advisory area. Up to two and a half inches of rain have already
fallen... and an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain can be expected
through the remainder of the evening rush hour. Flash flood
warnings may be needed and motorists are urged to check Road
conditions before driving this evening.

afternoon.

expected... with isolated totals of 3 to 6 inches possible.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
