... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 615 PM CDT for
southern Burleson... Washington... western Walker... northern Waller...
Grimes... southeastern Brazos... west central Montgomery and
northwestern Austin counties...

At 501 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. 3 to 6 inches of rain have fallen
with isolated radar estimates of 6 to 8 inches. Flash flooding is
already occurring across part of the warned area. In Brenham County,
Road closures were reported at FM 2935 near new year's creek.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Brenham... Navasota... Hempstead... Prairie View... Washington... Shelby... Pine
Island... Burton... Anderson... Todd Mission... Richards... Plantersville...
Carlos and Roans Prairie.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area as thunderstorms continue to move across the area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.

southwestern San Jacinto County in southeastern Texas...
northeastern Waller County in southeastern Texas...
east central Grimes County in southeastern Texas...
Montgomery County in southeastern Texas...

* until 745 PM CDT

* at 448 PM CDT... Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Over
three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is
expected to begin shortly as slow-moving thunderstorms push across
the area. This will impact the evening commute for motorists along
Interstate 45, and drivers are urged to check weather and Road
conditions before attempting travel this evening.

Conroe... Tomball... Willis... Pinehurst... The Woodlands... Spring...
Kingwood... Oak Ridge North... Panorama Village... Shenandoah... Splendora...

* at 510 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in
the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen in
the past hour over parts of the advisory area and additional
rainfall is expected as thunderstorms repeatedly move across the
region.

rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the
advisory area. Up to two and a half inches of rain have already
fallen... and an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain can be expected
through the remainder of the evening rush hour. Flash flood
warnings may be needed and motorists are urged to check Road
conditions before driving this evening.

* areas of moderate to heavy rain today have already produced
rainfall totals ranging from 6 to 8 inches through this
afternoon.

* Additional widespread rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
expected... with isolated totals of 3 to 6 inches possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action

At 522 PM CDT... Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles east of New Waverly to near Woodloch to
near Stagecoach. Movement was east at 45 mph.

Half inch hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Conroe... Tomball... Cleveland... Willis... Prairie View... Pinehurst... The
Woodlands... Spring... Oak Ridge North... Waller... Shepherd... Panorama
