* at 529 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will cause flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.
However... all interested parties should take necessary precautions
immediately.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

* at 525 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
additional heavy rain which will cause flooding. One quarter to
three quarters of an inch rain has already fallen from Quanah to
Knox City Texas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

The Flood Warning continues for
the Red River near Terral.

* Until late Sunday night... or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 2:00 am Friday the stage was 23.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Red River will continue rising and crest near 23.3
feet Saturday evening. The Red River will fall below flood stage
Sunday evening.

* Impact... at 23 feet... crop and range lands... Pecan Groves and
rural roads are affected. Agricultural levees begin to overtop
when the river stages rise above 23 feet. Though not flooded...
some areas at the edge of the flood plain may be isolated by high
water in side channels. Bottomlands near Charlie Texas begin to
flood several hours before the crest reaches Terral Oklahoma...
with flooding reaching the Illinois Bend area near Leon Oklahoma
several hours later.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Red River near Burkburnett.

* Until Sunday morning... or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 1:30 am Friday the stage was 9.6 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Red River will continue rising and crest near 10.4
feet early Saturday morning. The Red River will fall below flood
stage early Sunday morning.

* Impact... at 10 feet... crop and range lands... oil fields... and
rural roads are affected. Some low-lying areas near the river may
be isolated by high water in side channels. Bottomlands near
Davidson Oklahoma begin to flood several hours before the crest
approaches the Burkburnett area. The flood crest reaches the area
along the river near Taylor Oklahoma several hours later. Cattle
and other property should be relocated to places which are 1 foot
higher than nearby river banks to avoid being stranded.

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

locally higher amounts
