southeastern Fayette County in central Ohio...
Highland County in southwestern Ohio...
west central Ross County in southwestern Ohio...

* until 1115 PM EDT.

* At 1029 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Lynchburg,
moving northeast at 40 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
Hillsboro, Greenfield, Lynchburg, Leesburg, Rocky Fork Point,
Highland Holiday, Russell, New Market, Good Hope, Mowrystown,
Highland, South Salem, East Monroe, Danville in Highland County,
Samantha, Rock Mills, State Route 136 at US Route 62, New
Martinsburg, Highland County Airport and Rocky Fork Lake.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

* until 130 am EDT.

* At 1026 PM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain
moving slowly across the advised area.

* Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition, farmland near creeks,
streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
Columbus, Westerville, Reynoldsburg, Grove City, Upper Arlington,
Gahanna, Hilliard, Worthington, Bexley, Pataskala, Groveport,
Johnstown, Sunbury, Mount Sterling, South Bloomfield, Minerva Park,

... Flash Flood Watch in effect until 6 am EDT Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of northern Kentucky and Ohio,
including the following areas, in northern Kentucky, Bracken,
Campbell, Grant, Kenton, Mason, Pendleton, and Robertson. In
Ohio, Adams, Brown, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton,
Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette OH, Franklin OH, Greene,
Highland, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, Ross, Union OH, and
Warren.

* Until 6 am EDT Tuesday

* occasional thunderstorms will produce locally heavy rainfall
into the early morning hours. Some of the storms will be capable
of producing 1 to 2 inches of rain in a short period of time.
This will lead to the possibility of flash flooding into th
overnight hours.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be
prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding
occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas,
and be careful when approaching Highway dips and underpasses.
