Itawamba County in northeastern Mississippi...
northwestern Monroe County in northeastern Mississippi...
southeastern Prentiss County in northeastern Mississippi...
eastern Pontotoc County in northeastern Mississippi...
Lee County in northeastern Mississippi...
southern Tishomingo County in northeastern Mississippi...

* until midnight CDT Saturday

* at 553 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated that 6 to 10 inches of
rain has already fallen in the warned area. Several roads are
closed in Pontotoc County due to flooding. Other areas in the
warned area are likely flooding as well. Any additional rainfall
that occurs this evening will only make flooding worse. A Flood
Watch remains in effect for the warned area.

Verona... Belmont... Evergreen... Shannon... Plantersville...

areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful

of rain has fallen in the New Albany area. Flooding is occuring in
portions of Union County at this time. Additional areas in the
warning are likely having flooding as well. More rain is possible
this evening which would worsen flooding conditions. A Flood Watch
remains in effect for the warned area.

* At 01 PM Friday the stage was 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 23.8 feet Friday July 03.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Friday July 03 and continue
to rise to near 23.8 feet by Friday July 03.The river will fall
below flood stage by Saturday July 04.
* At 23.0 feet... low lying areas are flooding and businesses near the
creek may need to take flood precautions
