... Updated damage survey for 4/26/16...

A NWS damage survey team was dispatched again today to confirm a
radar signature that indicated debris from a possible tornado in
southwest Warren County that occurred Tuesday afternoon 4/26. The
team discovered another weak (ef1) tornado track that stretched
nearly 6 miles across the Countryside. The details of this tornado
track and updated information on the enhanced wind damage and EF0
tornado that occurred southwest of New Melle is included below.

.Enhanced severe wind damage in Warren and St. Charles counties...

Survey_summary:
an enhanced area of wind damage was surveyed from 6 miles
north-northwest of Marthasville along Missouri Highway o to 1
mile north of Defiance along Highway 94. The area of wind damage
was roughly 3.0 miles wide and 20.5 miles long. Hundreds of trees
were either topped, snapped or uprooted in this swath. Many roads
were blocked in this area due to fallen trees and power lines.
There were also several outbuildings that lost roofs and residences
that suffered minor damage. The wind is estimated to have been as
high as 80 mph and lasted upwards of 5 minutes according to eyewitness
accounts.

Survey_summary:
a weak EF-0 tornado was surveyed north of the main core of
damaging winds near the intersection of Missouri highways d and
T, roughly 4 miles west-southwest of New Melle. Trees were topped
and metal from an outbuilding was deposited up to 200 yards to the
north of the touchdown. The path length of the weak tornado was
less than a half-mile and the width was 50 yards.

Survey_summary:

An EF-1 tornado caused significant tree damage across portions
of southwestern Warren County. A damage survey revealed a 5.6 mile
path that was up to 100 yards wide. The most significant damage
occurred along Bernheimer Road where up to 100 trees were snapped
and twisted to the southeast.
