Monterey Bay National marine sanctuaries...Northwest winds will gradually become more southerly north of Point Reyes today as a cold front approaches from the west. Winds south of Point Reyes will hold onto more northerly winds today. The cold front will bring a possibility of rain to northern portions of the waters Saturday night spreading south on Sunday. A moderate period west swell will build across the coastal waters beginning Sunday morning.
