This includes the cities of Burkesville, Campbellsville,
Columbia, Danville, Edmonton, Georgetown, Glasgow, Greensburg,
Harrodsburg, Lebanon, Scottsville, Springfield, Tompkinsville,
and Versailles.

southeastern Shelby County in central Kentucky...
northeastern Nelson County in central Kentucky...
northwestern Mercer County in central Kentucky...
Woodford County in central Kentucky...
Anderson County in central Kentucky...
northern Washington County in central Kentucky...

* until 930 PM EDT

* at 635 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen in
spots. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lawrenceburg, Versailles, Ballard, midway, Bloomfield, Willisburg,
Wayside, Booker, Dugansville and Anderson City.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area, and flash flooding is occurring across central Kentucky
according to other reports.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of east central Kentucky, north central Kentucky,
northwest Kentucky, and south central Kentucky, including the
following areas, in east central Kentucky, Anderson, Bourbon,
Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine,
Madison, Mercer, Nicholas, Scott, and Woodford. In north
central Kentucky, Breckinridge, Bullitt, Hardin, Henry,
Jefferson, LaRue, Meade, Nelson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer,
Trimble, and Washington. In northwest Kentucky, Hancock and
Ohio. In south central Kentucky, Adair, Allen, Barren, Butler,
Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Edmonson, Grayson, green, Hart,
Lincoln, Logan, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Simpson,
Taylor, and Warren.

* Through Saturday morning

* a cold front coming in from the northwest will join forces
with the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy to produce
widespread rain, possibly heavy.

* The heaviest rainfall is expected during the evening hours and
may cause trouble with rush hour traffic.

Bloomfield, Yoder, Highgrove, Waterford and Wayside.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.
