* at 755 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Woodland to near Big Springs to near Roanoke,
moving northeast at 50 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts.

Impact... expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy will push eastward
through the weekend. The remnants of the tropical system will
interact with a weak boundary that will move south across much
of Georgia through Saturday. Areas along and north of the
Interstate 20 corridor have received heavy rains within the
last week. Any additional heavy rainfall will create run off,
potentially leading to flooding. Widespread one to two inches
of rainfall are likely as the system interacts with the weak
surface boundary. However, locally higher amounts around 3
inches are possible.

* Flooding in low lying and flood prone areas will still be
possible, especially in urban areas along the Interstate 20
corridor. In addition, creeks, streams and rivers may overflow
their banks.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

and southern Paulding counties until 830 PM EDT...

At 740 PM EDT... a line of strong thunderstorms was along a line
extending from near Bremen to near Trammel Crossroads... and moving
northeast at 35 mph.

Hazard... winds up to 40 mph and heavy rain.

Impact... expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
           light... unsecured objects. Trees can also down more
           easily with already wet soil from previous rainfall.
           Heavy rain may cause temporary street flooding especially
           in poor drainage areas.

Some locations in the path of these storms include
Douglasville, Carrollton, Buchanan, Franklin, Villa Rica, Bremen,
Temple, Hiram, Tallapoosa, Bowdon, Mount Zion, Whitesburg, Waco,
Ephesus, Centralhatchee, Roopville, Brownsville, Seaton lake,
Fairplay and Clem.

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. Motorists should
