Arkansas, southwest Arkansas, and western Arkansas, including
the following areas, in central Arkansas, Conway, Faulkner,
Garland, Grant, Lonoke, Perry, Pope, prairie, Pulaski, Saline,
white, and Yell. In eastern Arkansas, Jackson, Monroe, and
Woodruff. In north central Arkansas, Baxter, Boone, Cleburne,

thunderstorms are expected along and near this front. The threat
for flash flooding will increase beginning in northwestern
Arkansas later today and spread south and east across the watch
area through the overnight hours into Wednesday. Rain amounts
could reach 3 to 6 inches, with isolated higher amounts
possible. Ponding of water in poor drainage areas is also
likely, and river flooding is possible later this week across
portions of the watch area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts of heavy rain.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
