The Flood Warning continues for
the Blackwater river near Baker
* until Saturday evening.
* At 10 am Friday the stage was 14.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 11 feet.
* The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by tomorrow afternoon.
* At 9.5 feet... Kennedy and Peaden bridges are flooded upstream.
* At 11 feet... minor flooding of secondary roads and lowlands from around
Baker to downstream of Baker.
* At 14 feet... flooding of East Park in Baker.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Escambia River near century
* until further notice.
* At 10 am Friday the stage was 19.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 19.2 feet by this afternoon then begin
falling.
* At 13 feet... minor overflow of lowlands in the area.
* At 17 feet... considerable flooding of lowlands.
* At 19 feet... low lying pasture will flood. Cattle should be moved to higher
ground.

southern Washington... southeastern Clarke... northwestern Escambia...
west central Conecuh... George... southern Perry... Greene and stone
counties until 745 PM CDT...

At 655 PM CDT, the strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 12 miles southeast of Jackson to near Saucier,and
moving east at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
downtown Mobile, Prichard, Saraland, Bay Minette, Chickasaw, Satsuma,
Wiggins, Citronelle, Lucedale, Creola, Leakesville, Chunchula,
Stockton, McCullough, Wagarville, Perkinston, McHenry, Gulfcrest,
Deer Park and axis.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Survey summary: the tornado touched down on Jackson town
Road, just north of Adams Pond Road. A residence experienced
the loss of its roof over an open door garage. Numerous trees
were uprooted in the same area. The tornado continued northwest,
causing sporadic damage mainly to trees, but one home did suffer
some minor roof damage. The tornado crossed Highway 84 and lifted
near Nelson Road.

Survey summary: a brief tornado touchdown occurred in the
Conecuh National Forest. The first observed Point of damage
was on Beaver Creek Road just south of Bradley Road. The
tornado may have started farther to the southeast, but
that area was not accessible. The tornado tracked northwest
across Bradley Road and lifted. Tree damage was observed
along the path.

Ef scale: the Enhanced Fujita scale classifies tornadoes into
the following categories.
